Marshfield Housing Authority residents wrapped up the month of October with culinary flair, and a great opportunity provided by the Greater Boston Food Bank.
Cooking demonstrations brought residents out to learn from Chef Brian Whalen, of Burtons Grill in Hingham, who shared his culinary knowledge with our residents. Chef Brian also challenged residents with a recipe contest for resident home home cooks to showcase their new skills. In addition, MHA residents have the chance to receive pantry essentials delivered to their door once a month through the Greater Boston Food Bank.
CONTEST DETAILS
The recipe MUST utilize THREE of the Boxed ingredients, Cheese included and will be judged on three criteria (feel free to submit with a picture of the completed dish). Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- Most creative use of the ingredients
- Most affordable recipe (ingredients along with store bought ingredients added to it)
- Simplicity of the recipe
The recipe will be judged by Chef Brian and the winner will be announced in the Tenant Association newsletter along with the recipe. Register for food deliveries and submit your recipe contest entry below by contacting Ellie Eastwood, Resident Service Coordinator.
